Signing Ceremony
Tallinn, 2 February 2008

The Arts Festivals' Declaration on Intercultural Dialogue made its second stop in Tallinn: 13 national festivals associations and cultural networks signed the text!

Following the initial signing ceremony in Ljubljana on 8 January 2008, the Tallinn signing ceremony is the second stop on the Declaration's journey across Europe. The Belgian, Estonian, Finnish, French, Norwegian, Swedish, Spanish, British, Czech, and Irish festivals associations as well as REMA, ECPNM and IFEA agreed to take on a leading role in engaging their hundreds of members and colleagues in their respective countries.

"The journey of the Declaration is a marvelous example of stimulating grass-root-level initiatives European-wide in intercultural dialogue. National associations and cultural networks will become strong partners in this endeavor", as Darko Brlek, EFA President, underlines. At the end of the Year, a collection of best practices and concrete projects implemented in the spirit of the Declaration will be presented.

Next stop on its road across Europe is the EFA General Assembly in Antalya in Turkey, from the 24th till the 26th April, where more than 100 music, dance and theater Festivals will sign the Declaration.
