EFA welcomes back: the Festival Aix-en-Provence and Reykjavik Arts Festival
3 April 2012At the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the European Festivals Association (EFA) two festivals rejoined the Association: the Festival Aix-en-Provence and Reykjavik Arts Festival. EFA is looking forward to collaboration with both festivals.

Steve Austen started his career as an art entrepreneur when he set up the Shaffy Theater in 1968. The Shaffy became the Amsterdam podium for innovative theatre performances. Austen left in 1978 and re-organised the Lantaarn-Venter-complex in Rotterdam. In 1981, he became the manager of the Theater Instituut Nederland. Seven years later, he became the Manager of the Felix Meritis, an independent European centre for art, culture, science. EFA congratulates Arterial Network on its anniversary
27 March 2012The European Festivals Association (EFA) wishes the Arterial Network success in its future activities. The Pan-African network of artists, cultural activists, creative enterprises and others engaged in the African creative sector, celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2012. EFA and the Arterial Network join forces when the European festivals network celebrates its own Jubilee in 2012 under the motto "60 Years On: Festivals and the World". The Arterial Network has immensely contributed to the set up of an African Festivals Network - AFRIFESTNET - with the launch to take place from 19-21 April in Accra, Ghana.
