Quote of the Week
"Even before Europe was united in an economic level or was conceived at the level of economic interests and trade, it was culture that united all the countries of Europe. The arts, literature, music are the connecting link of Europe."
Dario Fo
EFA Activities
Communication: The office coordinates contacts and facilitates cooperation and co-production among its members by means of online and offline networking opportunities.
Expertise: EFA stimulates researches on festivals, e.g. through the EFA BOOKS Series. Bit by bit, EFA develops into a Festival Resource, Research and Expertise Centre.
Training: EFA provides training and education opportunities through the European Atelier for Young Festival Managers that takes place on a bi-annual basis.
Advocacy: EFA represents festivals in the international cultural debate. Highlighting the role of arts, culture and in particular festivals by means of flagship projects such as the Arts Festivals’ Declaration on Intercultural Dialogue, the FestLab for Creativity and Innovation or the European House for Culture in Brussels belongs to EFA’s permanent tasks.
