Reykjavik Arts Festival
One of the eminent artistic events of Northern Europe, the Reykjavik Festival was founded in 1970 upon the initiative by the pianist-conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy. Today it is a multidisciplinary festival representing cultural diversity and quality: classical symphonic and chamber music, contemporary arts and folk heritage, jazz and poetry, classical ballet and contemporary dance, theatre and fine arts exhibitions, world stars and young performers, local ensembles, soloists, together with guest-artists from all over the world, stars and young discoveries are integrated into the programme.
This festival has been an EFA member since 2001.
