Arriving in Shanghai to visit the China Shanghai International Arts Festival for its 15th anniversary, sitting in a taxi on the way into the metropolis of 20 million people, walking around in this city where I was going to spend the next days, and trying to connect to the place, made me think about places, senses, people, and festivals.
