- The FestLabPass
- A FestLabPass is issued to festivals committed to jointly engage in the fostering of creativity and innovation.
Launched in Prague on 27 March together with European Commissioner Ján Figel’, the FestLab encourages festivals all over the world to become FestLabPass holders and share their most innovative, creative projects throughout the year.

- Joining Forces to Highlight the Outstanding Excellence of Festivals: Laboratories of Creativity - Promoters of Innovation
- support artistic creativity in order to broaden creative skills that enable people to embrace change as an opportunity and foster individual and collective talents and competences
- enhance the mobility of artistic ideas, especially by supporting young and innovative artists and offering specific laboratory spaces as part of the festival programme
- provide opportunities for the creation of new works exploring cross-disciplinary, interactive approaches and non-traditional venues
- devote particular attention to professional training and education schemes in partnership with formal- and informally-educated international actors
- engage in new models of governance and partnership between the arts, sciences, politics, business and other sectors
- foster accessibility and inclusion, taking into consideration intercultural dialogue as a mean for the promotion of cultural diversity
- raise awareness among citizens and act as messengers for the dissemination and promotion of the European Year and its objectives as well as contribute, in the seat of the European House for Culture, to the broader framework of the first European Agenda for Culture, where creativity and innovation should be placed at the core of all policies
