Open The Door - Activities throughout the year

Under the motto “Festivals: Open Doors. Open Minds. Build Societies!” the European Festivals Association (EFA) highlights the transformative power of arts and culture in our societies today and showcases examples that demonstrate the privileged position of festivals to provide the means for everyone to experience culture.
“Open The Door”, the 2010 EFA flagship project, continues in 2011 with a call for best practices to festivals to communicate their innovative tools and methods to ‘open doors’ to artists, audiences, debate, reflection etc. The initiative built on previous and ongoing projects such as the FestLab for Creativity and Innovation, the Arts Festivals’ Declaration on Intercultural Dialogue and the Access to Culture platform!
