Music Festival Stars of the White Nights
Since 1994 the annual international cultural festival Stars of the White Nights has been a mecca for lovers of Russian culture. The magical mid-summer beauty of the 'Venice of the North', when the sun barely sets on the horizon, provides its own theatrical backdrop for a world-class program of concerts, operas and ballets. With a unique combination of resident Russian artists and visiting international musicians, the Festival has rapidly taken its place amongst the select number of favoured destinations for cultural tourism.
