European Early Music Network - Réseau Européen de Musique Ancienne (REMA)

Europe

REMA is the only representative network for Early Music in Europe, with over 130 members from 23 countries, with activities in performance, programming, higher education, artist management and recording. Its main aim is to act as a meeting place for its members, encouraging cooperation and the exchange of information and practices, and working together on a better future for the early music field. In 2021, REMA members took the historic decision to open the membership to new categories of Early Music professionals, to represent the field’s full spectrum. With historically involved performance being the core of the early music sector identity, REMA believes firmly in its importance as a unifying cultural practice in Europe. In addition, fully involved in building tomorrow’s performance sector, REMA is keen to find new ways to safeguard and share keys of interpretation with different audiences. Last but not least, REMA defines and defends a sustainable future for Early music professionals.
