Oriol Aguilà has been the Director of the Castell de Peralada Festival since the 25th edition celebrated in 2011. Previously, he was Director of Strategy and Branding and member of the Management Committee of the Catalan Audiovisual Media Corporation, managing the areas of communication, marketing, commercial, institutional relations and sponsorships. He was Director of  Patronage and Sponsorship and member of the Management Committee of the Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu: he directed the sponsorship programme for the reconstruction of the Theatre reopened in 1999 and the first ten years after the reconstruction. At the Liceu he also directed the areas of communication, marketing and commercial, PR, and editions and audiovisuals.

He currently chairs FestClásica, since 2016, the Spanish association that brings together classical music festivals. For two terms, Oriol has also presided Opera XXI, over the association that brings together theatres, festivals and lyrical seasons in Spain. He organised and co-chaired the Latin American Opera Forum which took place in Barcelona in 2022.

In the academic field, he is invited to teach cultural management, sponsorship and philanthropic funding at various universities. Oriol Aguilà holds a degree in Art History from the University of Barcelona and a Diploma in Senior Business Management from ESADE.
