Perform Europe

Reimagine international touring with us

Perform Europe is a funding scheme for the European performing arts sector, supporting sustainable, inclusive, balanced and innovative collaboration projects of partners across the 40 Creative Europe countries. Particular attention is given to projects that work with and include underrepresented areas or groups in these Creative Europe countries

The ultimate goal of Perform Europe is to design a future support scheme for cross-border touring and digital distribution of the performing arts.

Over 18 months, between the start of 2021 and Summer 2022, Perform Europe explored and tested sustainable touring practices on artistic, human, social, economic and ecological levels. It also promoted the digital world as an exciting domain for experimentation in the performing arts.

Now Perform Europe is coming back with a new project that will last three years from 2023 to 2026.

THE OPEN CALL

The Perform Europe Open Call will be launched in late 2023 and will stay open for five months. A minimum of three partners from three Creative Europe countries is required for each partnership application, presenting a minimum of one artistic work.

Perform Europe will grant €2,1 million to a minimum of 35 successful partnership applicants. The maximum grant available for each selected applicant will be €60.000.
Grants will be divided into three categories:

  • €12.000 small scale projects
  • €32.000 medium scale projects
  • €60.000 large scale projects

5% of the total funding will be dedicated towards collaborative projects which involve partnerships with Ukrainian partners and/or support initiatives for the Ukrainian performing arts sector.

Perform Europe will offer various information, promotion and knowledge sharing events in connection to the open call.
