The International Ankara Music Festival became a member of EFA in 1993 and was run under the auspices of the President for the first time in 1994. After these two important steps, a change in the attitude of sponsors towards the festival has enabled the festival to gain an increasing level of support each year. The main collaboration comes from cultural institutes in Ankara. The festival programme is drawn up by the foundation secretary after a year of applications and contacts. These are presented to a commission of representatives from all musical organisations in Ankara that agree its final form. This festival is held annually during the month of April. The SCA Music Foundation is a devoted partner of the MusMA project.
