Spatial movement from one place to another is often essential, as seen in the symbiotic relationship between MITO SettembreMusica’s two host cities, whose connections run so deep.

They have made cultural diffusion and ramification within the two greater urban areas a tool for growth and enrichment of their respective communities.
MITO SettembreMusica provides us with the opportunity to embark upon an array of musical journeys, and to construct unique pathways that weave their way through a multi-theme programme. The festival’s new artistic director Maestro Giorgio Battistelli brings with him the capacity to offer audiences original artistic proposals that unfold thanks to unexpected links between worlds that are only in appearance distant from one another.

MITO SettembreMusica is living proof that culture should never be considered static or monolithic, when it is actually a series of realities and possibilities in motion.

From such a perspective, music has always been the ideal vehicle, inasmuch as it is an art form that reaches out and touches people of every age, color, creed and country, crisscrossing among generations and across borders at the speed of sound – today, at the speed of light – becoming a focal point for togetherness and solidarity, a great force that unites. We hope MITO SettembreMusica will always be an incentive for exchange and openness to discovery, where sensitivity and creativity go hand in hand.
