Dear Friends,

I have tarried with announcing the 16th Boska Komedia / Divine Comedy Festival because the parliamentary elections were the absolute crux of interest in my country. You all know by now that our society has defended its vision of a democratic, open, and pro-European Poland. Do join us at the December festival to celebrate this magnificent change with us. This year, the festival's lodestar is LANDSCAPE AFTER THE BATTLE. We are a badly bruised society, and the deep rifts still hold. Artists help us understand ourselves as they work on diagnoses why hard-won freedom and the vision of the native European realm could so easily have been lost for many more years.

From 8 to 16 December, you will see over 20 performances releasing powerful energy and remaining a testimony to the difficult issues of recent years. The new emerging Poland is setting an example for all of Europe to see how to deal with populists.

As soon as we have understood one another better, we will all be closer. And the best access to this realisation is through Polish theatre. Do join us in Kraków!

International Divine Comedy Theatre Festival gives a chance to see, in a matter of just one week, some of the most intriguing plays of the season from theatres throughout the country. 

Divine Comedy is a theatre holiday where the best Polish shows are presented in the true Polish showcase.
