The Lerici Music Festival represents a unique reality in its kind. Conceived and founded in 2017 by conductor Gianluca Marcianò, a native of Lerici, it aims to be a tribute to his hometown and its residents. The festival is organised by the Association Suoni dal Golfo, whose social purpose is the promotion of music and the cultural vocation of the Gulf of Poets, of which Lerici is the heart. One of the most popular tourist destinations in Italy, the “Pearl of the Gulf of Poets” together with its inhabitants, whose history is closely linked to the sea, has hosted intellectuals, artists, business men and women from all over the world for centuries.

The Lerici Music Festival draws its inspiration from these places of artists and seafarers, characterised, from the outset, by a markedly international aura. But also from the versatility of the musical experiences of the guest artists and the originality of the production projects. In just a few years, the festival has revealed all its potential, becoming a driving force for local development as well as a tool for enhancing the tourism value of the territory. The Lerici Music Festival, a unique event in the international classical music landscape, is supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Liguria Region, and the Municipality of Lerici. However, it primarily derives most of its resources from the significant network of friends and enthusiasts who support it, which, to this day, remains one of its distinguishing features.
