The Rossini Opera Festival is an international event entirely dedicated to Gioachino Rossini from his hometown, Pesaro.

About

Rossini Opera Festival aims to revive, to perform on stage and to study the musical heritage connected with the composer. Besides his most famous scores, the Festival has brought back into circulation, in critical editions established as such by the Fondazione Rossini, a large number of forgotten Rossini operas, restoring them to fervent opera lovers.
The 44th edition of the Rossini Opera Festival will be held in Pesaro from 11 to 23 August 2023. The programme includes two new productions (Eduardo e Cristina, the last opera of Rossini's catalogue, and Adelaide di Borgogna), the revival of Aureliano in Palmira, Il viaggio a Reims by the Accademia Rossiniana, two Cantatas, five concerts and the Petite messe solennelle
