The European Festivals Association (EFA) invites you to a drinks reception to celebrate the launch of this year’s Edinburgh International Festival with Festival Director, Jonathan Mills. It takes place on Thursday, 22 March 2012, 6pm – 8 pm, at Flagey, Place Sainte Croix, 1050 Brussels. The launch is kindly hosted by the Flagey vzw/asbl. Please join Director Jonathan Mills to hear about the Festival’s programme in 2012, share in a celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Festival and learn more about the ambitions of this prestigious event in 2012 when the UK hosts the Olympic Games and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee as well as the Year of Creative Scotland. The 2012 Festival will for the first time include the Edinburgh International Culture Summit (a partnership between the Festival, the British Council, the Scottish and UK governments) set to host culture ministers from all over the world in Edinburgh over the two days following the closing of the Olympic Games in London.
