EFA Initiatives
EFFE - Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe is a new international festival community in the making. EFA initiated EFFE because we know that festivals need visibility and exchanges.
The Festival Academy is an initiative of the European Festivals Association (EFA) launched in 2013. It offers various training formats on festival management to young, dynamic and passionate festival makers worldwide.
The European House for Culture is a cultural organisation initiated by the European Festivals Association (EFA) in order to further collaboration and enhance synergies within the cultural sector.
Partner organisations
The aim of “A Soul for Europe” is to implement concrete steps and conduct projects to ensure that Europe makes greater and better use of its cultural assets. In the process, culture should be utilised more than in the past as a strategic factor for development – at the local, regional, national and European level. All fields of policy beyond the cultural sector, from social to foreign affairs, should include a cultural component.
Pearle* is the Performing Arts Employers’ Associations League Europe, the European trade federation of Performing Arts organisations. Pearle represents through its members associations more than 4,500 theatres, theatre production companies, orchestras and music ensembles, opera houses, ballet and dance companies, festivals, and other organisations within the performing arts sector across Europe.
IETM - International network for contemporary performing arts - is a network of over 450 performing arts organisations and individual members working in the contemporary performing arts worldwide: theatre, dance, circus, performance, interdisciplinary live art forms, new media.
The International Music Council (IMC), founded in 1949 by UNESCO, is the world's largest network of organisations and institutions working in the field of music. IMC promotes access to music for all and the value of music in the lives of all peoples. Through its members and their networks, IMC has direct access to over 1000 organisations in some 150 countries and to 200 million persons eager to develop and share knowledge and experience.
REMA is the only representative network for Early Music in Europe. Its main aim is to act as a network for its members, encouraging the exchange of knowledge, information and co-operations in the early music field. Created in Ambronay in 2000 with an office in Versailles, REMA now boasts a membership of 88 organisations in 21 European countries.
