The presenters of the Atelier LJUBLJANA 2012: Fruzsina Szép

Fruzsina Szép is the Programme Director of the Sziget Festival in Budapest, Hungary. She joined the team of presenters of the Atelier for Young Festival Managers for the first time in IZMIR 2011 and now for the second time in Ljubljana. Fruzsina Szép has 15 years of experience as an artistic and cultural manager. She started her career as manager of live events and of several Hungarian bands, but mainly of the Muzsikás Ensemble and Márta Sebestyén. She was the music curator of several Hungarian Cultural Seasons representing the country abroad. She established several national and international cultural projects such as the Hungarian Music Export Office, the Roots&Routes Talent Development programme in Hungary, the RegiON live! CEE Showcase Club Festival and the RegiON Music Conference, which focused on bringing together Hungarian and European music acts and professionals. She worked in Brussels as the director of the Hungarian Cultural Institute. Fruzsina grew up in Germany, lived in Australia, Canada and Guatemala. Her main goal is to help to build up well structured links between the Eastern and the Western European cultural markets and to exchange know-how and best practice between cultural and artistic workers. Eight renowned festival managers from all over the world will guide the participants throughout the seven days of the Atelier LJUBLJANA 2012 under the coordination of Hugo De Greef (Belgium): Robyn Archer (Australia), Bernard Faivre d’Arcier (France), Nele Hertling (Germany), Michal Merzcyński (Poland), Jonathan Mills (United Kingdom), Gerard Mortier (Belgium) and Fruzsina Szép (Hungary).
