5 October 2012

Exclusively dedicated to classical and art music, Classical:NEXT is an international forum for professionals from all branches within the genre: the arts presenters, promoters and artist managers of the live sector, the recording industry with its labels and distributors as well as media, export offices, classical music institutions and, of course, the artists. The first edition of Classical:NEXT took place in May 2012. 700 delegates from all sectors of classical music came to Munich, Germany, from 41 countries and 5 continents. From 29 May to 1 June 2013, Classical:NEXT will take place in Vienna, a capital of both modern convenience and historical significance. In addition to an expo area, where you can comfortably exhibit and network, Classical:NEXT features a conference and showcase presentations which cover all styles and formats of classical music, albeit focusing on the “NEXT” – innovative ways to market and present classical music today and tomorrow. To best reflect the needs, wishes, trends and talents of today's classical world, Classical:NEXT is designed as an open platform: its programme is selected by an international jury from proposals coming directly from the classical music community.
