ENCATC releases brochure for its first Academy on Cultural Relations and Diplomacy

30 October 2012

The ENCATC Academy "Cultural Relations and Diplomacy" will be held in Brussels from 5-7 December 2012. The ENCATC Academy is an intensive 3-day learning programme on the field of cultural relations and diplomacy. It is a joint initiative of ENCATC, the leading European Network on Cultural Management and Cultural Policy Education, and Goldsmiths, University of London, the leading higher education organisation in delivering a post graduate programme in this field. The aim is to deliver an intense learning opportunity to participants to further develop their knowledge and expertise in this field and prepare them to deal with unexpected challenges in cultural relations. This peer learning programme will offer practitioners and key decision makers an opportunity to expand their personal and professional networks and establish future project partnerships. The brochure for the 2012 Academy invites to discover the eight learning modules, to read about invited speakers, to find out how to get the most out of this experience, make new contacts, come away with valuable materials and more! "With continuous budget cuts of both our public funders and private sponsors, strong international partnerships are an absolute must in order to live up to the high quality standards our Festival is determined to save-guard. We have been and are working at establishing a strong diplomatic network , but I am hoping to learn at the Academy how to make better use of this and come to a win-win situation," said one of the registered participants. Online registration to attend the ENCATC Winter Academy is open until 15 November 2012. Place is limited to 30 persons to guarantee high quality interactions between participants.
