The diverse programme of the DanseFestival Barents stimulated an exchange about current and past practices in different ways. You cannot repeat too often that Hammerfest is the northernmost city of Europe. And that the geographical, social, political, ecological context where a festival happens has a huge influence on how one relates to the art presented.
