Early Music 2004 - International Young Artist's Presentation (IYAP) 2004

Please find hereafter the latest announcement of the INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ARTIST'S PRESENTATION The winner of the International Young Artist's Presentation - Early Music 2004 has been selected among eight candidates and comes from Austria: the Ensemble Mikado. It has been the fourth edition of the Young Artist's Presentation, organized by Musica, Impuls Centre for Music and realized in collaboration with the Flanders Festival-Antwerp. Eight young ensembles were selected and offered a two-day coaching session with Jill Feldman and Kees Boeke. On the third day they were given the opportunity to present a concert programme to a live audience and a jury of representatives of major international ealy-music networks, festivals and broadcasting companies including Herman Baeten (Musica), Delma Tomlin (York Early Music Fesival), Jan Nuchelmans (Festival Aqua Musica), Patrizia Bovi (Ensemble Micrologus) and Bernhard Trebuch (ORF Alte Musik). The International Young Artist's Presentation aims to build brigdes between young musicians, each with their own interests and background, by promoting them on the internationalstage and providing positive stimulation. It aims to support these young musicians and to convince national and international festivals to help them in theirs concert careers. Next year, the IYAP presentation will take place in Antwerp, Belgium, on 23, 24 and 25 August in collaboration with the Historical Wind Instruments edition.
