EFFE is a new international festival community in the making. EFFE – Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe – is a gateway into Europe’s festivals specialised in everything cultural. It intends to broaden awareness of what’s going on in the festival world and to promote excellence and innovation. The portal is a gateway to the festival world inviting artists, directors, managers and audiences worldwide to discover Europe’s very best, most creative festivals. It’s also a festival journey through Europe’s diversity. Launched by the European Festivals Association (EFA), the new endeavor is backed by the European Commission. Its first two-year edition runs in 2014 and 2015.
