Festival Readings – Yerevan/Armenia, 11-13 April 2015

15 April 2015

The Festival Readings are part of The Festival Academy which was launched by EFA in April 2013. They introduce the participants to the essence of festivals: their artistic meaning for artists, their environment for innovation and their unique experience for the audience. The Festival Readings focus foremost on the central place of the artistic aspects of festival management. Against this background they look at: artistic vision, political and social responsibility related to the cultural and artistic value of a festival in a certain region/context, a certain community but also internationalisation, networking, renewal and sustainability.

The 3rd edition of the Festival Readings took place in Yerevan, Armenia, from 11 to 13 April 2015 at the newly found Festival Academy Byurakan, in collaboration with the Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival. This three-day education format gave the participants at once professional and practical insights from high-level lecturers from the festival sector.
