Musica Danubiana

15 February 2001

The Musica Danubiana project is a longterm programme of "internal" cooperation between the musical insitutitons of the Danubian countries which has been developed since 1991, after the historical changement in Eastern-Central Europe. Artists, musical institutions, researchers and non-governmental organisations participate in the programme. The next conference will be dedicated to the common musical heritage (musicological reserach, publication and presentation by festivals), to the contemporary creation (the cooperation between creators, performers, editors and promoters), and to the stability and autonomy of arts institutions and non-governmental organisations. The conference hosted by the Hungarian Music Council, the Budapest Autumn Festival and Interart Festivalcenter, is a joint venture with Unesco's International Music Council and with the International Society for Contemporary Music.
