Apply Now: The European Label for Festivals 2017-2018
12 February 2017
Until 17
February festivals have the chance to apply for the EFFE Label 2017-2018. Does your festival meet the three criteria: artistic commitment and
innovative approaches, involvement in your local community and a European and
global outlook? And is it active in one of the 39 participating countries?
This bi-annual
European Label for Festivals offers the opportunity to festival makers to be
recognized for their work, to highlight a festival’s international ambition, to
become part of an international festival community and to put the festival in
the international spotlight! Festivals with the EFFE Label automatically get a
chance to win one of the EFFE Awards which will be selected by an International Festival Jury chaired by Sir Jonathan Mills
(composer, and former director of the Edinburgh International Festival).
At the official announcement of the EFFE Label receivers in
Wiesbaden on 4 May, we will kick-off the media campaign make audiences aware of
festivals and their fantastic work! We will work together with the EFFE Hubs,
Tourism office in all participating countries and media partners such as the Google Cultural Institute to inform audiences about the value of the EFFE Label.
