5 October 2018

With the support of the EFFE Hub Georgia, Caucasus Foundation, EFFE 2019-2020 was introduced to festivals from Azerbaijan and Georgia. Next to the EFFE Label and Award, EFFE is also launching a new online search tool for audiences worldwide: The Festival Finder. As of 7 November 2018, festivals from 43 countries will be invited to embark on a new adventure and to register their festival on this one and only European arts festivals search engine reaching out to international audiences, artists, travellers, academics, journalists, bloggers, policy makers,...: In Europe, the arts are just a Festival away!

The European Festivals Association first landed in Baku Azerbaijan, in the framework of the Nasimi Festival where Minister for Culture, Garayev Abulfas Mursal Oglu expressed his support for EFFE: “Azerbaijan, on the crossroad of Europe’s historical routes, helps to bring cultures closer together through the arts. This is not only a statement but a real striving for us: connecting and building bridges through the arts is a sustainable form for sharing values and communities. I would like to recommend all arts festivals in Azerbijan to register on EFFE’s Festival Finder”.

Also in Georgia, where EFFE is active since 2017, Minister for Culture Mr. Mikheil Giorgadze continues his support for festivals and their European aspirations: “I would like to recommend all arts festivals in Georgia to register on EFFE’s Festival Finder. It will help them to bring their art programs to a larger audience and promote their city and region internationally”.

The Festival Finder differs from other online event calendars as it presents festivals from all art disciplines, it guides the audience through up-to-date information on festivals, with a clear quality indication supported by the European Commission.
