The European Festivals Association opens application for the EFFE Label 2019-2020

14 December 2018

The European Festivals Association (EFA) calls all European festivals to apply for the EFFE Label 2019-2020, showing their engagement in the field of the arts, community involvement and international openness. The EFFE Label is Europe’s quality stamp for remarkable arts festivals.

EFA, in close partnership with its 31 national partners, the EFFE Hubs and the European Commission, connects European festivals and presents them on the FestivalFinder.eu to the larger public.

FestivalFinder.eu is an online search tool for audiences to discover all arts festivals, from music to theatre, streets arts to dance, literature, … in 45 countries in Europe near and far. It guides international audiences, festival lovers, festival makers, artists, travellers, academics, journalists, bloggers, policy makers, city developers...through the world of Europe’s diverse cultural space. It is rooted in and steered by the festivals community with the support of the European Union.

In addition to the EFFE Label 2019-2020, an International Jury will give EFFE Awards to a selection of practices and ambitions within the arts festivals’ community. The next edition will take place in September 2019 in BOZAR – Centre for Fine Arts Brussels. Have a look at the awarded festivals from 2015 and 2017.

The EFFE Label and Award winners benefit from the peer recognition for their work and values, increased visibility, new networking opportunities both face-to-face and online and further involvement in the artistic community.
