The Flanders Music Centre promotes the Flemish music life. By supporting the Euro-Festival Info Centre generously, they received a gateway to present the Flemish festivals, composers and artists in Europe. The Flanders Music Centre promotes Flemish performers and composers and Flemish professional music life in general. To do this, a balance is aimed at every musical genre from pop to contemporary music. The activities of the FMC are targeted at professional organisations in Belgium and abroad. The information and documentation centre aims at musicians as well as all other interested parties that want to find out more about Flemish music. The FMC supports the Euro-Festival Info Centre to give Flemish musicians, composers, orchestras, festivals etc a direct gateway to their European counterparts. The FMC’s intention is to play a leading role in giving various forms of popular music a place within this European project. Over time, this project will open up new avenues of opportunity to everyone involved professionally with music in Flanders, in whatever form. Flanders Music Centre is member of the International Association of Music Information Centres (IAMIC), which is a partner of the European Festivals Association.
