Some interesting news for our members from Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey: According to the latest news regarding the Culture 2000 programme, the main instrument of funding for culture at the European level, participation in the programme is now open for the three candidate/acceding countries including Bulgaria, Romania and lately also Turkey. Croatia to our regret does not yet appear on that list. The participation of non-member countries is effectively implemented through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Communities. The memoranda provide a necessary legal basis for the inclusion of new participating countries and also contain specific financial provisions.
