All Change at BAFA

Its all change at the British Arts Festivals Association with a new website, new office and new personnel. Following a review of its operations last year BAFA was awarded funding from Arts Council England to enable it to make significant changes to the services it offers its members. This will include a new-look website, development of its annual conference, which this year will be held at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, and an enhanced advocacy service for its members. BAFA has restructured its staffing and appointed Kim Hart to the post of part time Administrator and Peter Bolton as Development Consultant. Kim also works as Administrator of the Stage Management Association and brings a wealth of experience to BAFA from work at the Booktrust and her own theatre company. Peter was Director of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival until June 2004 and now runs his own events and consulting business. The BAFA office has moved to 2nd Floor, 28 Charing Cross Road, London, WC2H 0DB and the new phone number is 020 7240 4532. BAFA has 100 members ranging from major cultural events such as the Edinburgh International Festival and the Brighton Festival to small innovative festivals such as the Corsham Festival and Winchester Hat Fair and has been in existence for over 30 years.
