Arts Festivals - Promoters of Intercultural Dialogue - EFA General Assembly discussed first draft As a key-document in preparation of 2008 – European Year of Intercultural Dialogue, the Draft Charta on ‘Art Festivals – Promoters of Intercultural Dialogue’ has been presented to the EFA plenary. The Charter, next to highlighting festivals as real and true ‘glories of dialogue among different cultures’ and spotlighting their excellence in terms of ‘intercultural dialogue’ aims to stimulate festivals to put this issue in the focus of various activities in 2008. The Charter will be officially signed by all EFA members, members of the national festivals associations and even more strikingly by festivals beyond the EFA membership during a festive signing ceremony in Ljubljana at the occasion of the Slovenian Presidency in the first half of 2008.
