Flemish pop music is drawing more and more attention abroad and is definitely waiting to be discovered. And the good news is: it's always to find. After 'Witlof from Belgium', our first pop showcase at Midem, we have organised a new showcase for Popkomm 2001. The 16th of August Cologne will be rocky Flemish with concerts of Das Pop, Mauro, Dead Man Ray, Starfighter, C.O.E.M. and Buscemi. Popkomm is, with more than 500 participants and 10.000 visitors a year, one of the fastest growing music fairs of the world. Concert organisers, music press, recording studio's, record companies, booking agencies...they're all there. With this showcase and the active presence of the Flanders Music Centre at Popkomm, we are showing the world pop music from Flanders is ready to be discovered. Flanders @ the Gloria' will be one of the six Euro shows at Popkomm. A special website was made for this event.
