Given the new composition of ARS NOVA participation and the objective of this particular meeting the discussion focused on the presentation of delegated networks, their expectations of the ARS NOVA initiative and the mission and set up of future ARS NOVA meetings. After a brief presentation of the Flagey by Hugo De Greef, EFA Secretary General and Director of the Flagey, the session was opened by an introduction of the ARS NOVA participants, their networks, their interest in ARS NOVA and the initiative itself. It was underlined during the meeting that the primary aim of the proposal is to bring different networks in the field of new music together, to use the variety within and among networks related to new music in one way or the other, and foster common initiatives and projects. The meeting agreed that ARS NOVA is not about setting up a new organisation, but a new activity in a structured way. ARS NOVA will focus exclusively on practical co-production and project-related activities.
