2 December 2008

The European Festivals Association published the fourth edition of its FestFlash – the monthly newsletter highlighting exceptional cases of festivals celebrating intercultural dialogue. FestFlash on Intercultural Dialogue No 4 / November 2008 reports about EFA's presentation of its project Arts Festivals’ Declaration on Intercultural Dialogue in the framework of the official closing conference for the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue in Paris. It spotlights the Bergen International Festival (Norway) and "Sarajevo Winter" (Bosnia and Herzegovina) – two festivals situated in two regions of Europe, with two totally different backgrounds and two sets of challenges. Furthermore, the November FestFlash highlights festivals such as Fest-i Kult (Turkey), Black International Cinema Berlin (Germany), Tamburi Mundi (Germany and Iran) as well as the recent Declaration signing ceremonies in Liverpool and Stockholm.
