15 February 2002

Renate Behle I liked it very much to have joined the Krakow Easter Festival with the role of Fidelio and it was a great pleasure to know this wonderful city of Krakow and all the nice people there. I’m looking forward to come again and join this extraordinary atmosphere there. With all my best wishes (5th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Rudolf Buchbinder I consider the Beethoven Easter Festival in Krakow to be one of the most unique Festivals around the whole world. It is hard to find anywhere else this mixture of professional competence and this adorable touch of personal engagement. Furthermore one has to be aware of the confrontation with an absolute experienced and music-knowing public. I can only wish an everlasting future for the Beethoven Easter Festival in Krakow. (1st, 4th and 5th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Boris Carmeli It has been an honour and joy for me to perform at the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in Krakow, which is without any doubt one of the most important, outstanding and best organised events in Europe. I’m looking forward to the privilege to take part in it soon again. Thank you (4th, 5th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Christoph Eschenbach Participating in the Krakow Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival in 2001 was the greatest pleasure for me. Playing with the Sinfonietta Cracovia, one of the best Chamber Orchestras of Europe, under John Axelrod gave me utmost satisfaction. Mme Elżbieta Penderecki’s effort to make this Festival an international gem have totally succeeded and I wish best of luck for the future! (5th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Barbara Kilduff Krakow, untouched by the war, is a gem of a city to visit especially with the magic of Easter in the air and the excitement of the children going to have their Easter baskets blessed. All this added to the wonderful and energetic music of Beethoven makes this an experience I’ll always remember. (4th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Peter Jelosits It was a pleasure for me to sing in this wonderful Beethoven Easter Festival in Krakow. It was a very perfect organisation and I felt really comfortable during my stay there. This international event with its great artist will have a great future! (5th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Anne-Sophie Mutter In spring 2000 I have taken part in the Ludwig van Beethoven Festival in Krakow where I played my Penderecki violin concerto. It was a very pleasurable experience for me as I enjoyed the unique atmosphere very much. The organisation has been absolutely perfect and the audience very attentive and warm. Based on my fondness for great Polish composer such as Witold Lutosławski and Kristof Penderecki I feel very close to the Polish soul. (4th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Hakan Rosengren It was a true pleasure to perform in the opening concert of the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival. The organization of this venue was superb and the audience attendance could not have been better; the concert was packed to the last seat. I was also impressed by the program book and its comprehensive content. The Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival is, without doubt, one of the leading European music festivals and splendid international ambassador for Poland and its musical heritage. My sincerest congratulations to Elżbieta Penderecka, Bogusław Sonik and their entire staff for organizing such an event. Sincerely yours (5th Easter Ludwig van Beethoven Festival) Maria Venuti Krakow is a wonderful, warm city full of tradition. It was a great pleasure for me to take a part in the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival.
