Seminar to focus on festivals’ ability to support creativity and increase access to arts

At the occasion of the 5th Annual EFA Collective and Affiliate Members’ Meeting, Swedish Music Festivals (SMF) together with the European Festivals Association (EFA) cordially invite you to a half-day public seminar entitled “Festivals – Increasing Access, Supporting Creativity”. It takes place on Friday, 12 February, from 9.30 until 12.30 in the Immanuel Church at Kungstensgatan 17. The seminar will discuss the concept of arts festivals in a Swedish and European context from the points-of-view of the artist, the organiser and the audience. The event includes speeches and open floor discussions. SMF and EFA invite arts festivals, arts institutions, arts workers, politicians, the public and the media to come and share their views on the overall question: Are arts festivals – with their unique cost effective, flexible and accessible form – the future format to reply to the need of enhancing creative experiences of the arts?
