International Top Productions in 2002 Holland Festival

From 7 to 21 June 2002, the Holland Festival is presenting nine major national and international productions in the field of theatre, music theatre, music and dance. To make this possible, the festival has cooperated with several international co-producers, including the Wiener Festwochen, the KunstenFESTIVALdesArts and the new Ruhr-Triennale led by Gerard Mortier. The Holland Festival is also putting on its own productions, among them three concerts of music by Cornelis de Bondt. The festival is opening with the theatre production Alkestis by the Münchner Kammerspiele in the Amsterdam Stadsschouwburg and closing with a live projection on a large screen of Turandot by De Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam’s Oosterpark. All productions are being seen in Holland for the first time (except Grand Hotel and parts of Blood). Ticket sales have started on 2 April.
