EU Culture Programme "Support to European cultural festivals”: Publication of results delayed

7 April 2011

The European Commission announced a delay of the publication of results for the support to European cultural festivals (strand 1.3.6). The selection results will be published on the website of DG Education & Culture in April 2011. The applicants will be informed of the outcome of the selection procedure in April 2011 as well. The purpose of the strand is to support European cultural festivals with a view to encourage exchanges of experience through the mobility of European professionals in the cultural field; promote the circulation of cultural works by giving access to non-national European cultural works to the largest possible audience and promote intercultural dialogue. Support is given to one edition of a festival (applications eligible every year until 2012) or three editions of a festival (applications eligible in 2010, only). Only festivals having held at least five editions on the date on which the application is submitted are eligible. Moreover, works from at least seven countries taking part in the Culture Programme must be included in the programming. A grant of up to 100.000 EUR is available per project. The deadline for applications was 15 November 2010. More information on the final selection will follow shortly on the website of DG Education & Culture.
