“With you, Armenia”: Yerevan Perspectives Festival brings concert to New York

The Yerevan Perspectives International Music Festival presents the next concert of “With you, Armenia” in New York, Carnegie Hall on 26 May 2015. The concert unites world famous pianist Evgeny Kissin and “Hover” chamber choir with its artistic director and choir master Sona Hovhannisyan. The programme contains works of Komitas, Azizyan, Sharafyan, Britten, Mansurian, Babajanyan, Pendercki and Chopin. Furthermore, it will feature the world premiere of Penderecki's choral work dedicated to the Armenian Genocide.
The previous concert of “With you, Armenia” took place on 26 April at the Palais des Beaux Arts, Brussels. The concert was sold out and the audience kept one minute of silence to honor the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. Mischa Maisky, Maxim Vengerov, Sergei Nakariakov and the Belgian National Orchestra with its conductor George Pehlivanian amazed the audience.
“With you, Armenia” is a series of concerts during which world famous musicians and orchestras express their solidarity and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in 2015 in various parts of the world.
