We are delighted to unveil our latest resource designed specifically for live performance organisations: the infographic version of the Ultimate Cookbook for Cultural Managers: Visas for Third Country National Travelling to the Schengen Area, created in collaboration with Pearle*.

Our newly released infographic presents in a visual and easily understandable way the Visa legislation and the steps to follow when a third-country national has to apply for a Schengen visa. 

Activities of artists, cultural professionals and live performance organisations are rarely limited to their own country. Nowadays they are very mobile and readily accept to perform abroad.

The infographic gives you information on visas for the Schenghen Area, what types there are, who needs them, how and where to lodge your application as well as useful advice and tips to help visa applicants and performance hosts to navigate the process. It also explains the 90/180 day rule which applies to any third-country national visiting the Schengen area and as a novelty, includes information about ETIAS which is a travel authorisation system which visa-exempt third-country nationals (such as from UK) will need as from mid-2025 onwards.

This infographic is developed in the framework of the cooperation between the European Festivals Association and Pearle* as part of the Creative Europe project "Revealing the Alliance" that runs from 2022 to 2024 and is part of the continued awareness raising to the wide cultural sector on specific issues related to cross-border mobility and other European policies.
