Festive launch of the European House for Culture

On Sunday, 27th September 2009, 18h00 at Flagey in Brussels, the European House for Culture will be officially presented to guests and public. This ambitious project, initiated by the European Festivals Association, is supported by the firm belief that Culture and Art have a fundamental role in society and a central position in the process of European integration. To celebrate its official presentation the EHfC cordially invites for a public moment of great significance with the participation of President Frans de Ruiter, EU Commission Director General Odile Quintin, high level guests and artist Michael Lonsdale. A strong and sustainable mission statement will be launched in this intense moment that paves the way of the House and its contribution to a cultural Europe based on diversity and dialogue. Esteemed protagonists include not only founding and new members of the European House for Culture and the partners connected to it but also artists, politicians, businessmen and other invited guests who believe in the central role culture plays in the life of all citizens.
