Ars Nova 2010 to kick-off in Brussels today

26 March 2010

Today, 26 March 2010, and for the next two days, 30 of the most exciting minds from within the European Festivals Association (EFA) and the European Conference of Promoters of New Music (ECPNM) are gathering in Brussels for the Ars Nova meeting 2010. Ars Nova, a joint initiative of EFA and ECPNM, is a platform that brings festival directors, composers and ensembles active in the field of contemporary music together to discuss and initiate co-operation and co-productions in future new music projects. It is part of the EFA FestLab for Creativity and Innovation. This year, the participants come together at the European House for Culture, at the Flagey in Brussels, to exchange ideas, experiences and thoughts. They will return home filled with ideas and with several commitments to co-productions in their pockets. If more reasons were needed to participate in ARS Nova: the host, the Ars Musica Festival, presents a dynamic, interesting programme which will light up the evenings. A follow-up on the outcomes is to be published next week: the 2010 Ars Nova meeting will prove to be an inspiring platform in the spirit of “opening doors” to new artistic forms, new performers, new audiences, unusual venues, unknown cultures, new points of view, new approaches to arts and the world!
