Classical:NEXT - Festival sector meet up, 25 May 2020, 14.00 PM
15 May 2020
Classical:NEXT has invited the European Festivals Association (EFA) to host a special Festival sector meet up on zoom on 25 May 2020 at 14.00 PM (Brussels time). Register now and join us online!
Festival sector meet up – What’s now, what’s next? New formats of programming and presenting music.
Festivals are severely hit by the crisis. Festivals are either postponed or cancelled; some are developing new formats. All remain committed to support the artists and the show-business workers the best they can. By moving online, streaming live concerts, broadcasting archive recordings, festivals are developing new ways of programming and presenting music now and in the near future. Some formats and thinking will stay with festivals on the longer term.
The following EFA members will share their specific experience and proposals:
- Altay Bayram - Mersin International Music Festival (Turkey)
- Franco Belletti - Ravenna Festival (Italy)
- Anders Beyer - Bergen International Festival (Norway)
- Lilian Erbel - Mosel Musikfestival (Germany)
- Joost Fonteyne - Klarafestival (Belgium)
- Razvan Popovici - SoNoRo Festival (Romania)
Coordinated by: Kathrin Deventer (EFA's Secretary General)
We want to take this great opportunity to get together with festivals around the world online at a time. We hope you can attend!
